Sharing Movies

One thing I shared with my son was a love of movies. Mainly Sci-fi, fantasy and Superhero. There wasn't much that we missed. Superman, Antman, Wonder Woman, all the Star Wars, and all the Lord of the Rings.

Even though he was in his twenties, he still went to any new movie with me first.

CJ loved the Marvel Universe. He had all the movies present and future on his phone, he knew all the story lines, he knew when they were coming out. He made sure we made plans together anytime a new movie was coming.

When CJ passed away, the main story line in the Marvel Universe wasn't finish. By this time everyone knew that the last movie in the series was Endgame. When Endgame came out, I knew I had to go see it for him. It was hard to go see Endgame on my own, but I know he was by my side.

In the Marvel Universe the premise is that there is a Multiverse. It actually gave me comfort after CJ passed away to believe that even if CJ had died in this Universe, there were an infinite number of other CJ's existed in an infinity number of other worlds.

Now a new Spiderman has come out. Of course I had to go. It was another way in these hard days, to honour him.

I sat in the same row at the end that CJ and I usually sat in. The seat beside me was empty. Well it was empty except for my memories of my son sitting there. Laughing at the same time, gasping at the same time, enjoying the movies together.

I love that watching these movies brings me closer to CJ. I will continue to always watch them - with him in my heart and my memories.
